John 1:1-5,9-

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husbands will, but born of God.

The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.—–

Jesus Christ is the Word, he was the living Word of God that came to dwell in the flesh of a man. He was man, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God, and he was God, he created all things, and he is the light of all men. He came to dwell in flesh so that he could testify to the truth of God and be a sacrifice of the sins of the world.

What is sin where did it come from and why do we need forgiveness of sin?

Genesis1 God created everything upon the earth including mankind.

Genesis 2 Adam and Eve lived in the perfect garden of Eden, where God and mankind had a perfect relationship and Gods presence dwelt amoung them but warns Adam and Eve to eat of every tree but not the one tree in the middle of the garden, the tree of good and evil.

Genesis 3:1-

Now the serpent (Satan) was more crafty then any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the women, “Did God really say, ’You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’

The women said to the serpent,”We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you wil die.’ You will surely die, ” the serpent(satan) said to the women. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

When the women saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Then the man and his wife heared the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, Where are you?

He answered, I heard you in the garden, i was afraid because I was naked; so i hid. And HE said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?

The man said, “The women you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.

Then the LORD God said to the women, What is this you have done? The woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.

So the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

And i will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel.

To the women HE said, I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.

To Adam he said, Because you listened to your wife and ate fromt eh tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. it will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the seat of your brow you will eat your food untill you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.

23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.—

Ok So God created man and placed him in the garden where God lived among them. God tolled Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil but Satan tricked and tempted Eve into eating of the fruit who also gave the fruit to Adam. By doing this Adam and Eve had sinned against God by disobeying him. Also bringing a curse apon all of mankind, the curse of sin and death. Because of Mankinds disobediance, Sin was brought into the world, making a perfect world, a very tuff and hard place to live in. And so because of Adam and Eves Sin our connection between us and God was ruined, we were banished out of the Garden.

Now some people might say, why didnt God just forgive them right then and there, or why didnt God place the tree outside the garden, or why didnt God stop them from ruining this perfect relationship with Him and perfect world. I believe God placed the tree in the garden not to tempt men into eating of the fruit, for God does not tempt men nor is tempted, but i believe God put it there to test mankinds love for him. God gave man free will, because if man did not have free will the relationship with God would not have been perfect, because perfect love is not forced on you, its a choice, God wanted us to choose Him forever. But we didnt, we sinned, and brought upon us the last 6 thousand years of history which was filled with wars famines death disease sickness poverty pain hurt struggle etc.. The world is not a bad place because God made it like this, it is because we disobayed Gods perfect love.

The reason why we had to be kicked out of the garden and cursed with sin and death, is because Gods holiness, Gods perfection, Gods almigthy Justice and judgment called for it. God could not be in the presence of Sin, and we cannot eat of the tree of life which gives eternal life if we are sinful. The result, we are stuck here in this world which is a sinful hard painful place to live in, with a disconnection from God, or so we think, and we have this curse of Sin upon mankind, which is blocking us from God and blocking us from eternal life with God.  And when you think about the garden of Eden and the first sin, do not think of it as though you are innocent, it was Adam and Eve who sinned, look at it like this, everyday i choose to eat of the fruit of the tree of good and evil, every day i am disobediant to God and Sin against him, noone is righteous and noone has lived a sinless life, except one. I am in this sinful body, doomed to die, and when i die, i will inherit eternal death and fire. How does this curse be broken, how can we bring ourselves to restored connection with our Creator God and have eternal life? There is only one way to heaven, it is by the one who said, “I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME!”

Because of Gods perfect Justice and judgment, the price of Sin is death, and if we die in our sins, we have no hope of eternal life, no hope of ever eating of the tree of life, and thus we go down into the pit of eternal death and fire where satan dwells forever. But God who loved us while we were yet sinners sent Christ to die for us. Now what does that mean, what does one man dieing bring me eternal life and forgiveness of Sins? The bible says, by one man in adam sin came into the world, and by one man in Jesus sin was forgiven, in adam was death, in Jesus is life.

John 1 Jesus is the word of God, and by him all things were created, and he is the light of men.  The Word of God became flesh and dwelt amoung men. When it says became flesh, it meant that God took the form of man in one Jesus Christ, he was man, and he was God.

Jesus lived a perfect life, even though the curse of sin was on his body, he never sinned once, he was perfect and blameless and pure and holy. Jesus came into the world so that the world might be saved through him. He came to give testimony to the truth, and that by him Salvation might be brought to the world.

In the old testiment, God commanded Moses to sacrifice Lambs as a offering to God for the forgiveness of Sins. But this was only for the Jews. But God loved the whole world, so God sent his Son to become the Lamb that would take away the sins of the world.

When Jesus was baptized, he took upon the sins of the world, as a lamb would take upon the sins of one man in the Old Testament Law. Jesus then for 3 years gave testimony to the truth, performing thouthsands of miracles and healings and gave testimony to his twelve disciples that he was the Christ, the Chosen One of God, the Messiah. These names come from the old testament prophecy that was written by Jews of a King who was coming into the world, he was there savior and LORD. But the Jewish leadership, the Pharisees hated Jesus, they did not believe that he was the Christ, they feared that he would end their religion which was based off of the old testament which was being fulfilled by Christ, but God hardened there hearts and they with the help of the Romans  captured Jesus, whiped him, put a crown of thorns on his head, and crucified him nailing him to the cross. And yet Jesus said, “I am the good shephard. The good shephard lays down his life for the sheep. The reason my Father loves me is that I LAY DOWN MY LIFE-only to take it up again. NO ONE TAKES IT FROM ME, BUT I LAY IT DOWN OF MY OWN ACCORD.” John 10:11,17-18. Jesus was not a victim on the cross, he was a volunteer, volunterally laying down his life so our sins would be atoned for and we would have eternal life in His Kingdom.

This was a prophecy given to Isaiah about Christ suffering and sacrifice, written 500 years before Christ was born.

Isaiah 53:4-  “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was PIERCED for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We all like sheep, have gone astray, each of us turned to his own way; and the LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL.

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away.

And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken. He was assigned a grave  with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it was the LORDs will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand,

After the suffering of his soul he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.

Therefore i will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors.

FOR HE BORE THE SIN OF MANY, AND MADE INTERCESSION FOR THE TRANSGRESSORS.”
